What is New Health Technology Assessment?
Among newly developed medical technologies, it refers to medical devices that correspond to medical technologies for which the Minister of Health and Welfare needs to evaluate the safety and effectiveness. Under the current Medical Act, the subject of new medical technology evaluation is a newly developed medical technology or an evaluated technology (existing technology). This refers to technology that the Minister of Health and Welfare recognizes as necessary for evaluation in cases where the target and method of use have changed, and the Minister selects and evaluates the technology ex officio when necessary upon voluntary application.

· After completion of import item approval (certification/reporting) from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety: Apply for new medical technology evaluation/new medical technology evaluation postponement after receiving confirmation of existing technology
· Simultaneous progress of import item approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety: Application for one-stop service/integrated operation
